PWA Kit & Storefront Next development

We build headless Salesforce Commerce Cloud storefronts on Composable Storefront (PWA Kit) and Storefront Next, on Managed Runtime and the Salesforce Commerce API (SCAPI).

Storefront Next has been generally available since June 24, 2026 and is Salesforce's recommended storefront. Moving to it from SFRA can be phased, page by page.

Storefront Next builds

New storefronts on Storefront Next — server-first React on Managed Runtime, calling SCAPI.

PWA Kit storefronts

Builds, extensions and support for Composable Storefront (PWA Kit) sites already in production.

PWA Kit to Storefront Next

Migrations planned against Salesforce's own PWA Kit to Storefront Next guide.

Phased hybrid rollout

Headless pages introduced alongside SFRA, routed at the eCDN, with sessions kept in sync between the two.

SCAPI, OCAPI & SLAS

Shopper APIs, custom APIs, and SLAS authentication — and moving features off legacy OCAPI calls.

How we work

How a headless move runs

  1. Readiness review

Which features already sit on SCAPI, which depend on server-side SFRA code, and what moves first.

  2. Foundation

Managed Runtime environments, SLAS clients, CI and the eCDN routing rules for a hybrid rollout.

  3. First pages live

The highest-value pages built headless and released behind routing, with SFRA serving the rest.

  4. Expand & retire

Remaining pages moved in batches until the SFRA storefront can be retired.
